Bengals’ AJ McCarron and model Katherine Webb got married
Cincinnati Bengals rookie backup quarterback AJ McCarron and model Katherine Webb were married Saturday night at the Orange Beach United Methodist Church in Alabama, al.com reports.
McCarron, the former Alabama quarterback and the first QB to win back-to back national championships in the BCS era, met Webb on Twitter in 2012.
Webb became an Internet sensation in January 2013 after TV cameras showed her in the stands — and ESPN sportscaster Brent Musburger gushed about her good looks — as McCarron lead Alabama to a 42-14 win over Notre Dame in the BCS National Championship game.
Webb appeared in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, landed a reality show and is currently represented by the mega sports and modeling agency, IMG.
McCarron is expected to back up Bengals starting quarterback Andy Dalton during the 2014 season.
McCarron signed a four-year, $2.401 million deal with the Bengals, including a $181,652 signing bonus.
Corey McCarron, AJ’s brother and Alabama Crimson Tide tight end, served as his best man.
Webb had ten bridesmaids including her sister, Laurie. Webb’s father walked her down the aisle.
Starla Chapman, a young cancer survivor, was the flower girl.
The wedding planner told al.com that the couple’s bulldog served as the ring bearer.
